I am a 2001 graduate of Deposit Junior-Senior High School.  After which I attended Ohio Christian University (formerly Circleville Bible College). During my summers off I offered personal child care and tutoring services, as well as working several other part-time jobs. During my years of college education I worked at the Melvin Maxwell Library on campus as the Lead Student Librarian. I majored in Theology and Elementary Education (PreK – 3rd grade). I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2006.

               Eventually I was able to work in my dream field when I became employed by Children’s Palace as the afternoon Group Supervisor in the preschool classroom. Unfortunately, this facility was flooded and consequently closed its doors in 2011. In 2012 I took additional education classes online through Walden University to stay current in the stages of child development, working with parents and the community, and developing standard appropriate lesson plans that were engaging. I also began working at Creative Crayon’s Child Care; again as the full-time Group Supervisor of the preschool classroom. During my five years of professional child care I have remained current through professional development classes offered through the PA Keystone Stars program, as well as my former facilities participation in Pennsylvania Child Care Association (PACCA) newsletters.

               Over the course of the next four years, I have developed a strong desire to work with smaller groups of children in a more individualized setting. It is my belief that smaller groups allow for more varied and personalized instruction. The children would receive more support and attention as they strive to become individuals with self-confidence, creativity, and passion. They will be able to participate and interact within a nurturing environment that is supportive of their cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development. As a result I have begun to explore a new avenue in my life through small business studies, and additional child-development training with the goal of providing exceptional quality care for your child/children. I am continuing to utilize the state programs offered through the PA Keystone Stars, and am working tirelessly wih the Regional Daycare Office to provide the best possible care available for all my families enrolled in Kimberly's Child Care.
